To assist you in making your decision, we have put together all the information you may need.

If after reading this you have further questions, please use the contact form below.

Please note 2024 party price is now £190

When can I book a party?

The Plymouth Soft Play Café is part of our church outreach and the hall is used for many other activities that take place here during the week. Therefore we can offer to book a party on a Saturday afternoon after the café closes. This means that you can hire the entire Soft Play Café Hall from 15:30 to 18:30, giving you half hour time to set up, a two hours’ party for your guests from 16:00 to 18:00 and half hour at the end to clear up.

Please note that during the set up time you will be sharing the space with our lovely staff whilst they disinfect, clean and move furniture around to get the hall ready for your party. At 18:00 the Soft Play Frame will be shut to allow for disinfection and staff will start setting up the Hall up for Sunday Worship.

How many guests can I invite?

You can invite up to 30 children aged 2-11 years to use the Soft Play Frame. Adults, babies and teens are welcome guests in the main hall and we do not specify a number, however we recommend that you keep it to a manageable figure as you will be responsible for all of your guests for the entire duration of the hire.

How much does it cost?

To hire the Soft Play Café Hall for the 3 hours mentioned above it costs a total of £190. We require a non-refundable deposit of £50 payable at the time of booking to secure the date and the remainder of £160 payable one month before your party date. On completion of the party, providing these terms and conditions are adhered to (see section12), £20 will be refunded. Please come in during our café opening hours and make your payment by card, or cash. You can find our up to date opening days and times on here.

What’s included in the cost?

The cost includes the private hire of the hall for you and your guests, use of the soft play frame, use of the ride on cars and bikes, use of the baby area and toys, a birthday party table with small chairs and wipeable table cloths for up to 30 children, a line up of tables with wipeable table cloths for food placement, kettles and mugs for hot drinks, jugs of water and children’s plastic cups, free wi-fi, use of toilet & baby changing facilities.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your own food, cake and soft drinks. For hot drinks, please bring your own milk, coffee, tea and sugar which you can set up at the food hatch next to the kettles as a help yourself station. Please note that for insurance purposes you are not allowed to enter the kitchen area, however staff will be in attendance to assist you and barista hot drinks will be available to purchase separately during parties.

 Law on Allergies

As a result of Natasha’s Law that came into force on 1st October 2021 our church is required to ask anyone holding a party on our premises to make guests aware of the full list of ingredients of food being served and highlight allergens. This means that for homemade food you will need to write a list of all ingredients, and for any food you buy you will need to display the packaging.

Can I bring my own decorations?

You are more than welcome to bring your own decorations as long as you ensure they are fully cleared up before your leave. Staff will provide you with black bin bags as required.

Can I bring a craft?

You can bring a craft, provided it is supervised and cleared up before you leave.  Please note that face paints, paint, glitter or bubble machines are not permitted because they can present an issue/hazard for the soft play frame, foam mats, baby toys and hall floor. We also do not allow bouncy castles, as our insurance doesn’t not cover for this.

Can I park in the main church car park?

You and your guests are allowed to park in the main car park in front of the church during the birthday party. Please note that at all other times these spaces are reserved for private permit holders only and cannot be used by the general public, or café customers.

Breakages

Please note you are responsible for leaving the soft play frame, hall & fixtures,  contents and facilities as you have found them and you are responsible for any breakages during the party hire.
