Rev Gareth Higgs

Gareth is Superintendent Minister of the Mission Circuit with primary responsibility for Central Hall. 

After growing up in the West Country, Gareth has served in ministry roles in Mansfield, Gloucester, Burnley and Derby before joining the staff team at PMCH in September 2018.  He is married to Laura and dad to Joseph, Naomi and Beth. He is passionate about seeing the local church energised and impacting people’s lives. He is a big sports fan, following his home town football team Bath City all over the country and, if it were left to him, would spend as much time as possible playing Football Manager on the PC!

 

Deacon Linda BrownDeacon Linda Brown

Linda is in her first appointment as a Methodist Deacon and shares oversight of the circuit with Gareth.  She is involved in pastoral care at PMCH and leads the outreach work at Keyham Community Centre.

 

Judith WalkerJudith Walker

Church Secretary, Administrator and fount of information, Judith answers all day to day enquiries about activities at the Central Hall. If you ring or call in at Central Hall during the week you can be sure of a warm welcome. Some of her time she also engages with the pastoral work of the church.

 

Jonny Libby

Jonny takes the lead for our work with the 18 -30 age group. He is part of the Chaplaincy team at Plymouth University and is developing mentoring and discipleship with students, young adults and the older teenagers. 

 

Veronica Graham 

Youth Administrator for Central Hall, working particularly with the 11-18 age group, but oiling the wheels of all our children’s and youth work.

 

Denise Libby

Part of our great children's team, Denise works with young families through First Steps - the preschool nursery, Totstop - the toddler group and monthly Messy Church.

  

Rose Humphries

Manager of the Discovery Café, along with Assistant Evie Mazuru, Cook Steve Bunt, and the many volunteers, the team are ready to offer a friendly welcome, some good food and a listening ear.

 

Eunice Halliday 

Project Co-ordinator for the Oasis Café in Stonehouse which is also home of the Plymouth Foodbank.  She works alongside Centre Manager Maria Mills and Foodbank Support Worker Katy Bartlett.

 

Kate Higgins 

Supervisor of First Steps Pre-School Nursery and leader of the wonderful, caring team that works with this age group.

  

Steve Rolfe 

Hall Warden and responsible for security, daily cleaning and maintenance of the premises.

 

Chloe Matthews

Chloe joined our team as a youth and children's work intern in 2015. Along with her involvement in different aspects of the work, she is also studying for a degree in youth ministry.
